FAQ

Do you host podcast episodes directly?

No. All media is played from the locations provided in a podcast’s RSS feed. We don’t download episodes to our servers directly, we don’t change them, and all plays on Poddirectory count towards your stats like a play from any other podcast player.
Do you insert audio ads into, before, or after episodes?

No. We do not alter the audio distributed by the podcaster in any way. We use display advertising on various pages of our website. We try to be tactful about it. Our priority is maintaining a good user experience.
Can you remove my podcast?

Yes. Just respond to the email that lead you here. We’ll remove it as soon as possible. While the listeners who use the Poddirectory Podcast Player to enjoy your content will be disappointed to see you go, we respect your decision to distribute your content however you see fit. How can I update the information displayed about my podcast?

All of the information we display comes directly from your public RSS feed. If you want to change it, update your feed. The new info will show up the next time we process your feed.
My podcast isn't updating. Help!

How many people are listening to my episodes?

Click the stats tab on the podcast page. In addition, each individual episode shows the number of times it's been played.
How often is my podcast updated?

Our goal is to update every podcast 2-3 times per day. If you’re not seeing updates to a particular podcast, please email us and let us know so we can get it fixed.
How do I submit my podcast?

Click here and submit your RSS url. You'll be instantly added.
