"Gary Dee Attends His Own Funeral" was broadcast the last week of March 1974. Now, 40 years after it aired, the show has such deep impact and even more meaning than it did in 1974. This is a story that is humorous, thought provoking, and serious at times. Nobody suspected what Gary Dee had in mind throughout this series of programs. This story has an ending with a twist, but I won't spoil it for you. Gary Dee Attends His Own Funeral (Pt15) After commercials John Webster gives the temperature at 44 degrees as he turns the microphone over to host and moderator, Merle Pollis live in Public Square Downtown Cleveland, Ohio. Merle returns with some funny zingers as Gary Dee shouts from his casket. Merle then introduces Count John Manalasco (a talk show host that followed Gary's show). Count John Manalesco gives a very funny Eulogy all the while Gary shouts and makes very funny comments from his coffin. Merle continues with the services. Merle introduces Gary's councilman David Trenton. Mr. Trenton gives a short but funny eulogy, as Gary razzes him mercilessly. Merle then states that before we will continue with the solemn service, we pause for these commercial messages. Gary can be heard saying “make a buck Neuhoff”. Commercial for Paint And Pattern Centers (voiced by another famous Cleveland announcer, Phil McLean). More commercials.
